Here is week 16 of the Dream Card Journal Project.
I have been making a "Dream Card", each day, for 16 weeks. Dream Cards are like waking dreams.
I grab a magazine and randomly cut out images and words. Then I glue them on a 4"x6" card in a pleasing composition. When I'm done, I ponder the meaning of the symbols, and words. I have a dream dictionary that I sometimes consult, but I usually use the card for self reflection.
The project started with the notion that I would make collages of my dreams. It became readily apparent that it would be easier not to have a preconceived idea of what the card should look like. It has turned out that the cards are great indicators of the things I am going through in my life. They are not divining tools, they are merely visual journal entries.
When I have completed the years worth of cards, I am going to make them into a book.
